Our Nominations & Research

Nominees can be from any of the company /Firm or start up businesses carrying operations with in West Nile region, individuals working anywhere in the world but originate from West Nile Region and have positive socio-economic impact on the region and any local government delivering services in the West Nile Region and also any persons who have demonstrated innovative skills and leadership in her/his work in West Nile.

Exceptions: Nominee must not be subject to any conditions, or restrictions to practice, or under investigation, or disciplinary processes.

Public Nominations

Nominations may be made by individuals, Associations, Trusts, public and private companies nominating any Individual, primary, secondary and tertiary level institutions, subnational and national level institutions, Higher learning institutions, Firms and companies, regulatory bodies, civil society and nongovernmental organizations and others. Nominating parties are invited to put forward either their own business or third-party companies whom they hold in high regard.

WNQBA Research Team

The WNBQA Research team work hard in identifying great businesses, driving many of the nominations themselves. The team encourages external nominations from the subscribers, web visitors, social media following, on ground questioneers, clients and wider circulation.

The nominations will be tallied and presented to the jury who then will review and evaluate the submissions based on the set down criterion. The Jury is comprised of a committee of experts across the different professional bodies. The shortlisted candidates are then announced in October 2022 and rolled out for voting by the people of West Nile.

To prepare to submit entries to the 2023/2024 WNBQA, you should Follow these simple steps to ensure that you submit entries that are worthy of receiving a WNBQA© Award.

Determine Who or What You Want to Nominate, and in Which Categories

Decide which individuals, groups, or media (web sites, campaigns, etc.) within your organization that you will nominate/enter, then select the most appropriate categories for those entries. Contact the WNBQA office in with your questions about the most appropriate categories, and so on. Register to complete the information request form, or contact us at awards@wnqba.org.ug

Guide on Entry preparation.

  • WNBQA-winning entries are:
    • Well-written. They are terse and succinct. Their tone is modest, even when describing the most impressive accomplishments.
    • Focused on a few accomplishments. If possible, describe in detail just a few accomplishments, instead of listing many accomplishments in brief.
    • Accompanied by supporting information. Provide uploads or links to online news stories, press releases, work samples, video, images, product reviews, or other documents that support the claims made in your entries.
  • WNBQA-winning entries are not:
    • Just about “extraordinary” accomplishments. When you read through some of the winning entries you will see that many of them simply are about organizations and people that have performed well.
    • They are not about extraordinary, world-changing or industry-changing accomplishments. Tell your story well, and support your claims, and the judges will score your entries highly.
    • Fluffy and hyperbolic. Avoid flowery language and overblown claims. The judges tend to deduct points for immodesty.
